Two suspects dead in California mass shooting
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif—Two suspects are dead , one female and one male after a mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, killing 14 people and wounding 17 others.
Authorities say they are still unsure if the incident is related to terrorism but they are considering it to be a possibility.
Another person has been detained but police not sure if the suspect was involved in the shooting that left 14 people dead and 17 wounded.
The shooting rampage at the Inland Regional Center about 100km east of Los Angeles marked the deadliest US gun violence since the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, in December 2012, in which 27 people, including the gunman, were killed.
So far in 2015, there have been more than 350 shootings in which four or more people died, according to the crowd-sourced website shootingtracker.com, which keeps a running tally of mass shootings.
The slain suspects were armed with assault rifles and handguns, Burguan told reporters, adding that investigators were looking at the possibility that the suspects had left an explosive device at the scene of the shooting.
The man and woman were dressed in assault-style clothing, he said.
FBI investigators are also at the house of one of the suspects.
San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan told reporters that someone had left a holiday party at a social services agency in San Bernardino after “some sort of dispute”.
But he said there was no indication that person was involved in shooting.
Police are confident the neighbourhood in which the subsequent shootout took place is secure.http://www.people24x7.org/two-suspects-dead-in-california-mass-shooting/https://i2.wp.com/www.people24x7.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/1024x1024-1.jpg?fit=1024%2C705https://i2.wp.com/www.people24x7.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/1024x1024-1.jpg?resize=150%2C150FEATURED POSTSfeatured
