Qandeel Baloch killed by her conservative brother: Here is the reason why the Pakistani model was strangled to death
Multan, July 16: Pakistani model Qandeel Baloch was killed on Saturday morning. The news of her death sent shockwaves across entertainment circles as she was considered to be one of the most limelight drawing celebrities of Pakistan. Her excessive boldness was often considered as a topic of debate in Pakistan, with the more conservative section of the society viewing her in poor light. Interestingly, her younger brother also held a grudge against her, since her sleazy videos brought huge amount of disrepute to their family, residing in Multan. But none expected that the hatred within Baloch’s brother against her would result into a cold-blooded murder.
Baloch had returned to Multan on the eve of Eid to spend time with her family. According to local Pakistani media outlet Dawn, her brother had warned Baloch on multiple occasions to stop recording sleazy videos and uploading them on social media. His warning were ignored by Baloch. Her brother believed that the videos with sexual undertones was isolating their family, and people looked at them in a shameful manner. It damaged the reputation of their family in an irreparable manner.
Unable to bare the humiliation caused to their family by Baloch, her brother ended up committing the brutal crime. He is currently absconding. Police has launched a manhunt to nab him.
Baloch garnered the highest amount of publicity during the 2016 ICC World T20 tournament, where she uploaded explicit videos, saying that it would boost the morale of Pakistani team. She expressed her love for the then skipper Shahid Afridi and promised to strip naked if he wins the World Cup.
