The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) reportedly captured the Palmyra Grain Silos this morning after a violent battle with the Syrian Arab Army’s 11th Tank Division in the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate. ISIS was able to seize the Palmyra Grain Silos after reversing much of the Syrian Arab Army’s gains from their previous offensives at the ‘Arak Gas Fields and T-3 Military Airport.

With the Grain Silos under their control, the Islamic State terrorists are now at the eastern fringes of Palmyra (Tadmur), which is within striking distance of the imperative military airport that was just reopened by the Syrian Air Force.
